Holiday moods!!

Baby, ur daddy say wanna bring me go for our belated honeymoon!! Yay!! Will travel on 5th month if possible so that u, little one, are stable and happy in me, then mommy and daddy can go holiday!! =D

Saw a couple of Europe itineries which are pretty gd, but will decide the actual destination before confirming! Yay!! I AM INSANELY EXCITED!!

Combis, MacLarens, Aprica, Capella, Graco....

The world of strollers is filled with so many colors, designs and brands. Crap-loads to choose from. I'm getting bored of looking at all of them. Henson's incredibly good at opening and closing the strollers with "one hand motion" now.

Was at Bugis looking at strollers, not much choice so hopped over to Marina Square Kiddy Palace.. Saw a 3 wheeler Capella.. 11 freakin kilos!! Imagine it with a baby, at least also 15-18kg!! Madness la. Tried out Miracle Turn quite gd cuz light. I like. But I also like the way MacLaren looks. Damn stylo lor. Dun look "typical" at all. But not reversible and abit heavier than the Combi. Husband and Kesper think might not be able to fit into our little car. =/ oh wells.
Then suddenly, I saw this lady with her quite chio looking stroller!! I went to her and asked where she got hers, she said Taka and gt sale somemore!! Aprica one! She say not bad, not too heavy IT WAS DAMN CHIO LOOKING!!

So we popped by to Taka at like 9.15pm, and checked out the strollers there. Wider range with like most stroller brands. So then we saw the Aprica one. Damn nice lor... BUT....... husband n Kesper say "no gd lei, the shade can't cover fully" End up, we got the Combi Miracle Turn. Light, compact and easy to handle. Not bad la. =)

Bb better say thank you to God-daddy Kesper for the stroller otherwise u have to sit in NTUC trolley padded with cardboards as bumpers. =p

Sales!!

Went to this Gimmill warehouse sale thing today!! Bought alot of stuff!!! My bb will not be naked!!!!! Muahahahha!! Bought rompers @ $5 for 8 pcs, towels for $4 a pc, and those going out clothes for about like $3-$5 each. Nice!! All Osh Kosh and Carter's stuff somemore. =D

17th week of preggyness

Baby, at 17 wks, you are about 4 mths and 1 wk old. Alot of daddies and mommies already know their baby's gender. Why u still dun want to tell us huh??? Tmr got bb clothes sale, we can buy u pretty things u knw! Now like dat how??? Doc says 70% confirm girl. We think ur a girl too. We'll buy girls clothes tmr! Next visit will be the detailed scan. Baby, by then u can't siam already!! Muahahha!!

May Mommies gathering

Met up with the girls from the May 2009 thread for dinner at Sizzler in Suntec. Big group of abt 15 of us. All round bellied. Except me and like, 1 or 2 girls. Sat between Mikojade and Jacquise.. Chatting and eating was nice though didnt get to speak to many people.. Only a few cuz me n Jacquise went over to the other corner to kpo.. =)

Passed the 1st trimester!

Went for check up today. 14 wks preggers now!! Finally all the 1st trimester "must-not-do's" can more or less bo chao liao!! =) Baby looks good and heartbeat same kan chiong. =D Looks abit cramped up in there though. Hope my body will do something soon to accomodate my little dear. =D

Bird day dinners!!

Went dinner with CBAW ppl. So nice to have everyone around again!! Even Yvonne also came along!! But she got some problem... hope she gets well soon.. =) Foodie was great!! Simple zhi char but gt suckling pig too!!! Think Derrick ordered it. Machiam "da shou" like dat. hahs!!

Had another bird day dinner with husband and his frens. No pictures taken though. Wasted cuz it was a CRAB FEAST!!! Had it at AMK and damn shiok gt chilli crab!!! *love love* They say eat too much crab will make bb have "itchy" hands. Hmmm, we'll see!!

Happy Birthday to me!! Daddy wanna bring mama out to celebrate. So nice of him wanna take leave.. Told him no need la.. Dunno whr to go also.. Met him after work at Millenia Walk. Ate at Mushroom Pot with Xuan and Lynn and husband.. Nice little dinner. =D Got flowers frm husband somemore!!! I love my husband!!

Tor dou grow liao!!

I'm so excited to see my little bb again! Got head hand and body already!!! Can see or nt?? I can't! hahha! Leaves ALOT to ur imagination la I admit. =D Kinda looks like a gummy bear in the 2nd pix tho. =p

This is my darling at 10wks and 5 days. Her little heartbeat so quick like very kan chiong like that. Must be excited to show me herself too.

Anyhoo, all the things they say abt Dr Khi is true. So we're stickin with her. Next check up can sign package liao.

Husband's friend Ivy says can try ACJ's Caroline Khi. Okay. Anyway I'm quite sian of scouring through forum threads to read and find out since gynaes all have both good and bad comments. This Dr Khi seems to be "gentle", "soft-spoken", "friendly" and "caring". Ok. Pass liao. Visitng her on the 5th. =D

Headaches!!!

Baby bean, is it because ur inside Mommy's tummy that's why hormones are all cranky and I've been having a headache all day? Also, is that the same reason why I've been having headaches all previous 2 days too??

Had to dua Cal and the others tonite for St James gathering. Bad bad headache.. Sorry Cal.. =/

In theory your baby is still an embryo because it has the remains of a small tail, which will disappear in the next few weeks. But that's the only thing that's getting smaller. The heart and brain are becoming more complicated, the eyelid folds are forming, the tip of the nose is present, and the arms now bend at the elbows and curve slightly over the heart.

Now about half an inch / 1.25 centimeters long, the size of a grape, the embryo has distinct, slightly webbed fingers and toes. It's a jumping bean, moving in fits and starts. The liver is churning out large amounts of red blood cells until the bone marrow forms and takes over this role. Right now, the teeth and palate are forming, while the ears continue to develop. The fetus' skin is paper thin, and veins are clearly visible.

Found out that there's this Singapore Motherhood Forum!! Joined the May '09 MTB thread and the Jurong West SAHMTB threads. SAHMTB: Stay at Home Mom To Be, MTB: Mom To Be. How cute. =)

Need to find a gynae!! Westies are recommending Dr Adrian Woodworth (CCK) or Dr Kee Wei Heong (JP). Dr Kee is night visit only lei.. Dun fancy night visits cuz time nt flexible la. Dr Woodworth... will call tmr.. =) Jeslin say can visit hers. But her waiting time is SHIONG. Guess not la. Husband gets all grumpy if wait too long. Then I will kena. Not gonna get myself in trouble!! See if husband gt anymore friends who will recommend gynaes.

Sleeping latest at 12.30am nowadays and apparently, the husband says I fall into very deep sleep. Haha.

Spreading the news

Hahs. Some say can only announce after 3 mths. Henson Ong simply bo chap and announced to Kelvin and Ah Peh liao. Next was basically whoever spoke to him. I told Jeslin and erm, Kenji. Then I smsed the godmoms abt getting ready to be, well, godmoms. Baby must recognise these 3 other girls.. they are mommy's besties though dun often meet.. *loves*

6 Oct 2008 - The Other Big Day

Been a few days since the "wonder" was hovering around in my mind.. Bought the "Clearblue Easy +/- Results Pregnancy Test" thingy and stuffed it in my drawer since er.. last night.. Decide to test on Wednesday if Ms Flo still don't come.

But then I woke this morning before husband woke. Desperately needed to pee and didnt want to go yet because was thinking: might as well go check now, sooner or later wat!! Ms Flo can't be MIA for 2 wks rite!!!! So I climbed out of bed, grabbed the kit, dashed into the toilet and peed like never before, trying hard to aim on the stick for the first few seconds.

..... like forever later....

Stupid thing showed some plus minus sign which no matter how many times I read the box I still dun understand!! Then I realised that this symptom only happens to people who weren't expecting what they (a) probably already knew but can't believe it or (b) didnt want to believe what was happening. I think I belong to both.

Ran to the room and threw the kit at the half awake husband. Some reaction as me. Didn't help at all. So the day continued as usual with him going to work. Then kept calling me all morning to get me to call people to find a gynae.

...5pm..

Gone to Gleneagles for 1st visit and confirmation. Expensive expensive. It's the Paragon of the hospital world. Dr Peter Chew is the Hermes of the luxury world. $222.56.


Very long wait and very chor bill. Will go home scout for cheaper gynaes.

Anyhoo, did V scan and confirmed the home test is accurate. Got some vitamins, milk samples and some books written by Dr Hermes here..

This thingy here says that I'm indeed preggers. Yes, I still have it in my box.
